Mezcalosfera 2019 Barril / Tepextate | 700ml

This bottle was made by Joe Cortés. He was 27 years old in 2019 when he made this expression of Tepextate. Joe learned from his father, the famed Margarito Cortés. He cooked the agave in an earth pit, crushed by stone mill (Tahona), then fermented it for about 6 days using only wild yeast tied to the natural environment of the region of Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. By definition, each master is geared to the special taste of its region and this bottle is a good example of that. Only 60 litres was made by Joe in January 2019.
