Mezcalosfera | Barril 2019 | 700ml
This bottle was made by Job Cortés. He was 27 years old in 2019 when he made this expression of barril. Job learned from his father, famed Margarito Cortés. He cooked the agave using mesquite and encino wood. The cooked agaves were milled by tahona and double distilled in a copper "refrescadera" still in very small batches. Resting in the bottle since 2019 gives an extra layer of smoothness and aroma to this delicious expression of such a young but well-trained mezcalero.

- 100% Barril (Agave Karwinskii 12 to 18 years)
- Mengoli de Morelos, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico - located 1560 meters above sea level
- Roasted in truncated conical earthen oven
- Tahona crushed
- Fermented in open air sabino barrels with natural yeast using well water for 6 days
- Double-distilled in Filipino style copper refrescadera pot still (no water added)
- 51,4% ABV
