ZINACANTAN PECHUGA 2023 - Special edition: "An Optimists guide to the planet" | 500ml
The Pechuga distillate is a traditional favorite in many parts of Mexico. For the Faby family, it's a special occasion to celebrate the end of the production season. It's their way of showing gratitude to nature for providing plentiful agaves, water, and firewood to create this special distillate. Zinacantan only produces 80 liters of this Pechuga mezcal once a year.
The year 2023 was particularly special as Zinacantan was recognised for their positive impact on the planet. During the filming of the documentary "An Optimists guide to the planet," Zinacantan decided to make a 45 litres batch of their Pechuga mezcal featured a unique twist with the "hands on" help of Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau during the filming of the documentary. This small and unique batch of pechuga mezcal is double distilled with Papalometl magueys (Agave potatorum) and an entire organic wild turkey covered in Faby's mother's secret mole recipe (featuring over 30 different ingredients, including various chilis, grains, and spices).
